Please read the full description for all details. This is a new old stock advertising banner from an old JD dealership. Each sign is linked by white fabric ribbon as shown in photos. This banner was never displayed nor removed from the box before now. Since the tape seals were already broken, I decided to very carefully open it to show you. Had the seals been intact, I would have left them. Im not sure how old this item is. Other items found with this were dated in the 1940s and 50s. As you can see, the mailing label on this item has a John Deere Plow Co address of Syracuse, NY, with no ZIP code, so I know it predates 1963 when ZIP codes came into use. The largest sign in here measures about 2×2 feet. The smaller ones are different sizes but generally about 12×12 inches. The box that this item is in has some of of the original tape seal from Chicago Show Printing Company. The packing tape and signs feel somewhat dried out and brittle. Some signs have very faint stains from spending decades pressed up against each other those stains would probably not be seen from ten feet away. These were stored in a dry location so theres very little chance of water damage and I dont think thats what the stains are. The rear of the box shows a hole and minor stain as photos show. My guess is that a long time ago there was some oily substance on the box. It doesnt appear to be water, rather something thick that couldnt easily penetrate the cardboard. If you follow the photos, you see the only stains near that hole are minor stains one on the John Deere Quality Farm Equipment sign. I have the sign positioned near the hole so you can tell. The same sign also has a tiny hole in it, about 3/16 in diameter look near the letter N in the word equipment. This item will be extremely well packaged and fully insured because its a treasure.
