Nice Vintage JOHN DEERE “QUALITY FARM EQUIPMENT” PARTS AND SERVICE Light Up Dealer Sign, 4 Legged Deer. Approx: 24.5″ L x 12″ H x 5.5 D, 14.5 lbs. Rare John Deere dealer sign. Glass face plate has the 4 Legged Deer, John Deere Quality Farm Equipment and Parts and Service logos. The images are a single reverse applique or silk screen? Under the glass face plate and not a top applied print or decal. We could not find an exact match to this sign going back over 20 years in our sales data research. The lighted metal case appears to be from the 1960’s to early 1970’s, but could be a little older. The cabinet has been repainted on the exterior, but the cord and interior all appear original. The gold tone aluminum edging which secures the face plate has been replaced (dated 2018) before we obtained the sign from a large private collection. Please review all pictures taken for your consideration, we photographed with lights on and off in different light settings to give you a better feel for the sign. The sign is in really nice shape as seen in pictures and the face plate is glass and not plastic. The face plate may or may not be original, as we are not experts on these and could not find another like it. There are a few minor scuffs to case and edging, but it looks great overall. This sign looks very nice whether lit up or not and will easily hang from the sturdy chain attached. This is a plug-in sign on an older three prong grounded plug. We did not alter the sign in any way other than dusting it off. As with any glass products, please use caution when removing aluminum edging to replace bulbs. There is a cushion between glass and rear casing only, so caution is always advised. We pack with extreme care. We do this often.
