John Deere Porcelain Enamel Sign Authentic Vintage RARE 6′ x 2′ collectable. This is a very rare and sought after sign. The image shows the three legged deer, and is believed to be the first John Deere logo featured on a porcelain enamel sign. This logo was the second logo ever used circa 1910 – 1936, and pre dates the similar looking signs that feature the four legged deer. It was manufactured in Chicago by Veribrite Signs, which can be seen in the bottom right corner of this single sided sign. As you can see from the tape measure in the pictures, this is a large piece of advertising (24″ high x 72″ long). The condition of this sign shows issues to be expected of a sign from this era, fading of colors (mainly the red) and loss of porcelain in portions (seen in the photos).
