Guaranteed old and original, you can tell by all the amazing detail on the deer, log, below the log, around the plow, the buckles, the skinny lettering vs. The messy bubble letters that are found on the remakes, and of course the deer’s tail doesn’t touch the edge! Amazing original paint and patina, the darkening of the gold paint color, the way the paint is rubbed off in some areas and somewhat crackling in other areas. It is stunningly beautiful! This is what over 100 years of nature wear looks like. It can’t be reproduced and I wouldn’t want one of these John Deere letter holders any other way.
